This is mostly for people who have their own servers or colo (their own stuff) was wondering what you use to monitor your servers/switch/bandwidth. Alexa seems to be a popular item but I use Nagios it currently monitors about 3700 different items I can write an EDU on a nagios monitor if anyone wanted one even though there are install notes but their confusing to anyone who has never messed with it before. Use cacti sometimes because I like the magnify feature on a bandwidth graph so I can get an approx on spikes.

Take a look at Zenos.. Zenos is like Nagios and another product called Cacti put together. It can alarm on problems as well as graph everything so you can see things visually (ie Interface stats, hits/sec,etc)

lately? Nothing. I've been riding bareback for a while.. I have scripts in place to catch shit that isn't right.. (unusual bw usage, mail scripts, normal hacker shit, etc..)

My boxes that fluctuate in usage are unmetered.. so it's really not needed. :o
