Let me say it right now... my problem is... NOTHING FITS WITH ANYTHING!!! :rant2:

The CD drives don't fit in the CD Drive slots, the hard drives don't fit in the hard drive slots, the screws don't fit in the screw holes... besides the AGP and PCI slots... everything was ghetto-rigged into this machine. And up until tonight, when I got a new HD, I really didn't care. But now I have to fix my box, and maybe you guys can help. :hs:

So here's what the crapshack looks like:

Tried putting the two hard drives side by side; totally failed (ribbon cable too short, not really where things are to go)

CD drives don't fit; they are just supported by two screws on the leftside. I'm guessing there are supposed to be trays here... But I didn't get any. Notice that they are slanted, and they stick out one farther than the other.

Drives all are supposed to slide into these places:

Because the hard drive didn't fit into the hard drive tray, I put it in the floppy disk tray. Right now, if you were to look at my case, you would literally see my HD where a floppy drive should be. It's always been this way, and now it's stuck in that POS tray.

Because no screws could fit into the tray's holes, and the tray was too wide for the drive, I used duct tape to "mount" it down. It's still would be loose in the event of say, and impact.

Any help would be much apprecaited. I'm pretty computer literate, I built a computer once before (or at least reassembed it). But this case... it's like a canadain case in america or something; it's fucked up. And it's a popular case, too; Antec quiet case.

    Help, please. :(

that looks like the antec sonata. The hard drives need to be mounted from *underneath* not from the sides. See the rubber grommits? Those line up with holes in the bottom of the drive.

The sonata comes with special screws for that.

The cd drives slide in on rails... not hard at all.

    Yeah, that's the case.
Fuck... I think the screws are long gone :(
Can I call antec and get some more shipped out? :x:

Why not just spend about $50 and buy another case? It looks like you got a pretty big mess there.

the antec sonata is around $100.

and yes, I'd send them in an envelope. As long as $0.37 ends up in my accound (after paypal kills me with fees) I can send them.
