I would personaly preffer chatting so someone close to my proportions who has done dieted and knows what he is talking about. I have heard the book is good.. but personal Experience > book.

ya, i know that. i was just saying, there are meal plans that go up to 4k calories. i don't know of too many people that cut on more than that, which is why i recc. it.

but whatever, good luck in your weight loss.

i find this to be true... something that a 250 pound guy does might not work as well for me compared to someone who is closer to my build/weight/metabolism.

    good grief.

i think it would be a really good idea for you to talk with a nutritionist or hold out for advice from some of the more advanced/credible people on this forum (i.e. ceaze)

is your thyroid ok? any medical condition(s)? how did you get up to 316?

edit: how long have you been working out? have you seen any change in weight? what's a typical day for you in terms of your food intake?

    edit2: i thought you're another thomor25, but i just realized you're the guy from the 505 bench video :eek4:

i dunno what to tell you bro.. all diets are pretty much the same..

if i were in your shoes, i'd up the cardio and look at the nutritional value of foods eaten in a typical day. is there stuff you can cut out? (butter, cheese, oil, etc)

fwiw, here's my typical "cut" diet..

    meal 1: 2 servings oatmeal, 1 serving non-fat milk
meal 2: 2 scoops ON in water, .5 serving almonds or 2 servings non-fat milk
meal 3: 1 chicken breast, mixed veggies
meal 4: 2 scoops ON in water, 1 serving almonds or 1 serving mixed vegies
meal 5: .5 lb halibut or salmon or 1-2 chicken breast(s), 1 plain baked potato or yam
meal 6: 1 serving low-fat cottage cheese :)barf:)

i'll throw in another 2 scoops of ON plus a serving of powerade on workout days. ibcaloriesaretoolow

if it makes you feel any better, your biceps are larger than my legs.

cals are way to low i eat that much cutting at 200 lbs. HR when i first started dropping lbs i didnt even really worry about the calories. i just made sure i ate enough protein and i stayed 100% clean. that got me down to 200, now i have to worry about how much i eat.

Cardio is great because you actually burn a shit ton of calories compared to working out. I enjoy running a lot just gotta talk yourself into it.

Hire someone. Chuck Rudolph (author of the Cut Diet book) has reasonable rates for personal service.

+1 for hiring someone if you can't figure it out on your own...

However you need to up that cardio. 6-7 days a week.
