..yesterday. My record's clean so I know I'll get it, I just hope I don't have to wait too long. Have heard some horror stories of some folks waiting upwards of a year. Once I do get it though, I'm sure I'll be even more broke than I am now, but it will all be worth it.:)

Shouldn't be that long a wait. It only took me about 40 days to get my C&R. The only bad thing about a C&R is that your bank account will get drained. :)

Also, you get dealer discounts at Midway, Brownells & Grafs

First thing will probably be a K31, then most likely a czech mauser to use for building a custom 30-06. after that, i have no idea. i'd like to get a p-38, nagant revolver, garand, another sks or 2, some more nagant rifles, a hakim...the list could go on forever really.

You'll love the K-31. I have 2 of them (1 Walnut, 1 Beech) and they're great rifles. While the stocks on most are beat up, these things are tackdrivers.

For the Garand, you don't need your C&R FFL to purhcase one. You can get one through the CMP, as long as you fufill all the qualifications.

Ohh, thought you were getting an FFL like a gun store would have.

Anyone know how much those cost?

I think its a few grand, plus you have to have some sort of store front, to use as bussiness address, cannt just do it out of your house.

It's not really that much money, but they've really cracked down on it within the past few years. I know a guy that got one a few years ago just as a hobby, he evidently did it just in time.

I'm pretty sure you need a storefront too, can no longer do it out of your house like you could years ago, guys who had them before that ruling i think are exempt but I'm 99% sure if you apply today you need to have a place of bussiness other then your home.

all he said was he wouldn't run it from his house again because with that being your store front ATF has free reign of your home.

I've already asked the BATF for an application so I will let you know what it says when it arrives.
