Sending packets...but can't receive them

    shit is sending a shat load of packets, but aint receivin any...



    help my friend out.

    I'm guessing he has a 169.x.x.x IP address?

    yes she does.


    tried repairing the connection but it freezes up

    Bottom line is that it can't get a DHCP address for whatever reason, driver issue, or there simply isn't one. If you have a maximum number of IP's at your location, the DHCP server won't hand out anymore to that location as well. You could try a static IP if you're behind a firewall however.
