I need to send my macbook in to applecare, but I've upgraded both the RAM and the HDD in it and I don't have the originals... :hs:

I'm worried about getting a new one or a macbook back with stock parts.

    Anyone experienced in this scenario?

just include a note w the computer that says to transfer the RAM and HDD if they give you a new computer.

Idk, ask them before sending it in. I sent in my G3 iBook when they were doing all the logic board replacements, and they had me take out the extra RAM I had put in before sending in the computer.
