What's the best way to completely erase any trace of my shit on there? I could format the disk and re-install the OS, but it came with OS 9 and I currently run 10.3.9 on it. SUggestions?

if you have CDs for both you can format and install OSX with classic, or just install OSX and leave it up to the new buyer to install classic, most wouldn't need to.

well, you could either buy a retail copy, borrow them from a friend, or acquire them online

of course this would have to be legal :hsugh:

keep in mind that os x does a pretty good job of covering it's tracks. i've accidentally deleted files, tried running numerous forensic programs to recover them and hardly come up with anything

you might just be able to delete all your files, go into your keychain and delete everything, or change the password to "password" and tell the new user of it.
that would be the easiest and cheapest method imo

when you've deleted your files you can create a new user and delete the old one..
