I want to pierce my left ear cartalidge. Is Bmezine the best place to get supplies? And if so, are foreceps really necessary?

Also, what is the best way to go about avoiding infection during the entire process? What cleaning solution should I use after i finish?

Lastly, what is the best place online to buy jewlery? I looked at bmezine, and their selection is pathetic.

Thanx ahead of time, and if all this is old information, just flame me

edit: also, what gauge should I go with for cartalidge?

You will just as much doing it yourself, plus with the added chance that you will fuck something up... going to a professional seems like the far better choice.

I'm curious as to why you wish to do it yourself

Well, it will be my first piercing, and I think that if I do it myself, it will mean more to me down the road. :dunno:

bme is the cheapest place to get needles, their shipping takes forever since they're out of canada. you don't need foreceps for this piercing. don't do it yourself.

    1. you haven't read enough experiences on bme, if you had you wouldn't think of using forceps. forceps are going to warp the natural curve of your ear. and you probably would clamp them on all the way, which is an improper way to use forceps, you can tell because it HURTS.

    2. you can't see your own ears. you are going to try and pierce this blind, or looking in a mirror. odds are, you're going to fuck it up big time.

I've done most of my piercings myself, i've gotten needles and forceps from bme. bme's needles are cheap, i think i have to pay like 5 bucks a needle at my shop. I did not do my industrial myself. because i couldn't see it, it's just common sense.

I'm not going to be ramming the needle into my ear myself. I plan on having my brother help me out.

Run a higher risk of infection and nasty bumps this way.

it seems like common sense would be enough to overcome the risk of infection

who said anything about dying? go ahead, do it yourself. And if you screw something up, like the placement, not sterile, whatever it may be, dont complain. For the few dollars it would cost to pierce your ears, you sure are being cheap. Its gonna cost more in supplies and jewellery than if you just had it pierced by a professional. And if you're not a professional piercer, you shouldnt try something like this.

    yet stupidity prevails,

Give the OP a break, I dont think they are being "cheep" they just want to do it themselves. I had a GF a long time ago who had a friend pierce her lobes for her, turned out fine.

Honestly, I think if you're going to go out and spend money on needles, etc. just go get it done at a shop. They don't charge that much for cartiledge piercings from what I've seen.
