Seized/Striped Transmission Plug

    Its a large 32mm 3/8"drive(square) plug on the side of my tranny is seized and striped, anybody have any ideas to get it out, i dont have to save the plug, but i would like to save the case if at all possible, i have another case but if i can keep from destroying it i would like too. I tryed pb blaster and heat before it striped.

    but is the car in your kitchen??? I swear I'm seeing a Haynes manual, a pile of tools, and a cooking book with a jar of pasta :rofl:

    Next time heat doesn't work, run out to 7-11, buy a can of liquid butane used to fill up lighters, and press the nozzle against the part. Depending on the expansion rates of the two parts, heat could actually make it fit tighter -- in that case, freezing it (liquid butane will get it to about -100F) will make it loosen. (it will also make the metal stronger, temporarily.)
