    Nail. Head.

It's as pointless from a brand strategy point of view as the Range Rover Sport.

The Cayenne is making Porsche a FUCK-LOAD of money.

And the Turbo model is faster than 99% of vehicles on the road, so I think Porsche is sticking to their roots. 0-60 in 5.2seconds and a top speed of 165mph - How can you complain about that? Heck, even the "S" model has pretty respectable performance.

in the late 90's, porsche did a survey of porsche owners to see what other vehicles they owned. about 80% of them had at least 1 luxury suv in their garage. they were thinking of a sport sedan just before that, but the cayenne became the obvious answer to the question "how do we stay in business on our own?"

so you dont have to like it (i dont particularily like it) but i lmao at all the people who feel the need to mock it. everyone acts like they sold out or something lol punk rock

Interesting. My old man is thinking about getting a range rover sport or a Cayenne. Guess I'll show him this thread. :dunno:
