Security majors?

    anyone in a degree plan for security? I've been talking to my network teacher and she said there was a good program in corpus but it's like $600/credit hour.

    Yeah, a lot of people are doing it though. I'm getting the idea that's going to become pretty saturated in the future.

    i took some security classes, definitely interesting major. but like it was said. everyone and there mother is getting into it

    I think that even if a lot of people are doing it, it's not easy, and when you are dealing with security, you better know your shit.

    definitely, my teachers advice for those wanting to do security is to get a degree in math as well.

    It's not like people are going to hire anybody out of college with a B.S degree anyway. It will be difficult, but there is a small chance it can happen. It seems that a lot of people want to hire people who are a CISSP (Which mind you requires 5 years experience in security industry to get), and have a few years experience as a Network Admin.
