Coolest house I ever went to had a secert gun room. It was behind a bookshelf and you walked in and there was about a 3ftx12ft hallway that had fireproof gun storage all along the sides of the wall

When my parents remodeled the house, my dad built a small room behind a bookshelf that extended in to the attic (bookshelf is in the loft). Its fucking awesome even if it just houses the fuse box and some stuff for the AC.

I used to think I was nuts or childish for wanting something like that. Now I see how it can be so practical to escape from one room to another, especially to be able to go into a room where you can hide and arm yourself if necessary.

If I ever replace my mobile home with a frame house, it will have these features.

I have posted this before. This is about 15x6 with a 6+' ceiling at its highest. The entrance is very subtle, and will be getting more subtle. I also intend to finish it this winter.

You gotta wall it in with aluminum walls and recessed florescent lighting and fingerprint readers. Then the guns have to come out on little motorized stainless steel trays. It also helps to have some mounted on shiny metal pegboard as well, but only the Uzis and suppressed pistols.

My parent's have a panic room somewhat like this. It exits right into the garage, really neat. Problem is, it still sits empty to this day (14 years) except when it gets close to Christmas and my mom fills it with hidden presents

Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (Motorola Q: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 176x220))

My apartment is small, so I hide my MOLLE bag with my AK and 9mm under a stack of folded quilts on the opposite side of my kind size bed. :dunno:

It has a folding ladder than unfolds straight down. It is also taped, stipled and painted over, so you can't even see the outline of it from the garage

My budies father in laws house has a hidden door bookshelf thing.

Straight out of the movies with a pressure relaese switch for when you move the proper book, door slides behind the existing wall and then about a 15ft long cinder block hallway with shelves storing a nice gun collection.

    Cool stuff.
I like to use those magnetic auto key hiders for small stuff.
Ive also tied a string to things and threw them half way down a laundry chute we dont use
The closet in the biggest bedroom of the house I just bought, for some reason its really deep. Like it actually has one clothes rack in front of the other.
Would be a good place for a small gun cabinet or a small safe

Anyone remember that one place that got busted for growing operation in huge secret tunnels under the house? I think it was in Virginia or something. May have been 2 years ago or so

In my backyard, out by my barn, is a foot wide 6' vertical hole lined with a section of cement pipe. There's a big frigging rock on top of it. Not sure what it was used for, but it is my emergency hidey hole which will hold 3-4 long guns and bunch of .50 cal cans in the bottom. ( I checked ). I guess it's my last ditch hiding spot of they ever come confiscating guns.
