they look pretty good, i would slow down the shutter speed a bit though to get the background more blurred

Nice, I like this one. Only thing I don't like is the telephone pole/line in the background.

Also excellent but always have the driver roll up his window.

As mentioned, I'd like to see a longer shutter speed but these are good. What equipment are you shooting with?

Look really nice. Longer shutter speed would help.

They don't happen to be single exposure HDR do they? Either that or the light/exposure was perfect, they're nice.

loading - thanks ill keep that in mind

jonny chimpo - lol is my waterark really OOF? :S

    ERock - thanks :)

s40Strib - yeap im on IA, its UpsideDownDesi's, my name is changaroo on IA.

E-dub - thanks, ill give the telephone pole some cloning and ill see how it goes. also i didnt notice the drivers window until you mentioned it. im shooting with a digital rebel xti with a sigma 17-70.

ok_computer - the lighting was perfect :) near sunset, golden time! i did some shadow / highlighting which is probably why it looks kinda like HDR.

question guys, the wrx rolling shot was shot at 1/40th, any slower and there would be blur from the camera moving right?

i guess another way to fight this is to just have the cars be going faster?

Oh wow, you must be pretty wide angle on those for 1/40th. To give a better illusion of speed, try shooting the cars from further in front of them, perhaps making the road the vanishing point of the photo as it will be the least moving piece in the photo. What kind of speed were you at here?

A little much on the sky IMHO. Otherwise great shots. I like the comment on making the road vanish.

thanks for the suggestion with the vanishing point. i believe we were rolling at 40-50 mph, hence the 1/40 i used :S

i got to do another rolling shot tomorrow, but i wont be lucky enough to have an airstrip this time :(

The Saab looks boring next to the Subie, but both are pretty much ad/print worthy imo. I agree that the background needs more blur, though.

looking good! i remember when you posted the thread about going out to do rolling shots and wanting some advice (that was you right?) came out good. you gotta be bold with the shutter speed though. try to really get it blurred. just need to experiment. oh and don't be shy to hang out the window.

Nice work. Next time, try to get some lower angles and maybe just a bit closer with a wider lens.
