currently i have a 1200wt sub amp and a 800wt 4channel. is there a need to have a second small batter in the trunk to run the amps off of?

Proper steps for Electrical system upgrades:

    1. Do the Big3, this involves ADDING the following wires using a minimum of 4awg, I recommend using 1/0
Wire1: Alternator lead to battery positive
Wire2: Battery negative to chassis ground
Wire3: Battery negative to engine block ground

    2. Replace your stock battery with a deep cycle, such as an Optima Yellow top.

    3. Upgrade your alternator. I recommend getting a HighOutput 200amp with a high idle amperage.

    Iraggi Alternators....

    Stay away from ebay alternators...

    4. Add a second deep cycle battery in the rear. Wire it in parallel.
