    Can you say claustrophobic?

Not a very wonderful background, but cars on two wheels are always fun.

that first shot is pure amazing!

pardon my ignorance but are the "glowing rotors" because of the heat? i've heard of this but have never seen it if it's true.

yep, braking uses friction to slow the car, rotors get red hot.

Thanks guys. It was mixed feeling for me this past weekend. They had some new rules which limited our ease of access which was a bit frustrating. Not so hard for the 12 hour race, but it posed a much bigger issue for the shorter support races of which I had to shoot three of for clients. It also made getting around during the golden light hour a lot harder. Normally, in the past we could hit three or four spots during the great light, this year it was more of a one shot deal.

But I still had a pretty good weekend and had a few shots I was happy with. I appreciate the comments.

Sorry, unfortunately I do not give out any high resolution images, even just for desktops as its how I make my living and if I gave them out to anyone that asked, I'd have way too many high resolution images floating around out there and not be able to keep track of them. I hope you understand.

Yes, the rotors you see glowing are because they are so hot that the material is actually glowing. It happens under hard and continual breaking. The carbon rotors you see in the first photo get very bright and are great to see at night and always offer a great photo opp.
