seated squat

    im curious to know if doing seated half squats would help me building more muscle and eventually put on more weight on my standard squats for future reference?

    its the same thing as doing regular squats, but you sit down on a bench and get up repeating over and over.

    not sure what there called, but its basically sitting down on something and getting back up with the bar on your neck/shoulder

    yeah it is a box squat
    I don't know about helping as far as "building muscle" goes, but i like them for building strength

    therefore, it could help me pack on more weight for future reference for the squats eh?

    i basically want to up my squat numbers and i know working the quads is important which is why i do leg presses. but i know theres other barbell exercises that can help squating than squating itself

    UNless you are after purely numbers, stick to regular squats.
    If you care some what how strong you are do not do half or quarter squats. stick to a normal stance OLY style squat to parallel or slightly bellow.
