    Who does 'em??

I hate that the rack is in such an awkward position..I guess there's no other option, since you have to press straight up.. but it makes it very difficult to unrack without a spotter.

    I stand now.

Seated is a bit awkward getting the bar off and puts more strain on my lower back.

    I've done them.

Been doing a lot more standing military press and push jerks.

Mike, I think you're referring to how you have to bring the barbell forward, since you unrack it and the barbell is behind your head almost? Never understood why they built them like that.

yessir..the setup i use has racks in front, too.. but its still a bit awkward, though it makes getting rid of the weight in a hurry much easier.

Not a fan because its a bitch to get it set up right.

All I do is standing military with no leg drive, and seated smith every now nad then. And my shoulders are huge. Not like daballers, but still pretty big.

It's what feels most comfy to me. I don't like seated BB for the exact reason you're talking about.

I do seated DB more often b/c I need to work on my overall width, espeically on my shoulders and seated DB seems to focus more on bulding up the medial, where BB strict seems to hit the front delts more and less(overall) of the medial head.

I do seated barbell and I know what you're talking about. I've found that racks vary widely. Even at the gym I go to regularly there are two different military press racks. One I can unrack through my full routine, the other I need a spotter. The position of the rack behind the head is different for the two.

I use girly weight, usually work up to 135 x 8-10, then do drop sets.

best to date is 5 x 5 @ 85, but I could probably do more than that now as I did 4 x 6 @ 80 as part of a giant set on sunday and had no problem completing any of the sets.

Edit: Thats DB, didn't see the BB thing at first.

i did 135x10 pretty easy yesteday, so I'm not sure if it's good or not.. not that it matters, but curiousity got the best of me. my weight is down to 182 :ugh:

now the lateral raises i did had me in death throes.. 20x10, 15x10, 10x10, 5x10.. no rest -- all on one arm, then switch and do the same on the other side.. x3 :wtc:
