Any reason I shouldnt pick one of these up in the fall? 215 hp version
They're awesome machines to play on and you'll love the pull from the supercharger. Enjoy
They chug gas pretty good if you keep it pegged. It will do 65mph in a blink of an eye. They make me giggle like a school girl they are that fun.
Buddy has one, pulls HARD all the way to 70. Set the trim all the way up and gun it while sitting still and it will jump a few feet out of the water then take off like a raped ape.
jetskis are such huge ass turds these days. Still fun though. just not as easy to jump or anything. I think im going to switch over to stand up pretty soon.
They are huge, and im looking at local laws (chicago) and I'd need to buy the RXT (3 seater) in order to be able to tow a tube/wake boarder, skier.
Thats pretty much the law anywhere. Need a driver, spotter, and a seat for the boarder/skier
Anyone have any experience with seadoo jet boats as an alternate to the jet ski?
I've heard of problems skiing behind them. They tend to pop up out of the water too quickly and jerk the skier. But I could be wrong. I've seen a few with the twin 215hp engines on them..I can't imagine how much fuel they go through.
This weekend I'm going to check out both, we'll see what I do.
is that what you'd want to do with it? tow skiers?
Im not sure how much jet boats cost, but you could look in the boat trader and probably find a good solid REAL boat for a good price. But if you dont know much about boats and how to take care of them, then you might want the jet boat.
I have limited knowledge on regular boat upkeep and dont want to get into that. I will tow wakeboarding/skiing regardless of whether it's the RXT or the Jetboat. Just playing with ideas.
Ended up going with a brand new 2006 RXT, found one in the midwest from a dealer. Picking it up today.
Thank you! Had it out on lake michigan on saturday, good times.
