I'm getting a new MP3 player and earplugs soon enough and stuck between picking either the SE-530 and SE310 for my Audio-nazi needs. I work at Fry's and get a hefty discount on any of these items so might as well go all out.

RPP for the SE310 is $249.99 but after discount and tax its $175, but we also have a SE-530 (RPP is $499.99) that's on final clearance for $245 after tax.

Now how much of a difference are both of these from your personal experiences and is it enough to justify spending on extra $70 on the SE-530s?

    P.S. I'm listening to 320/VBR MP3s and FLAC files.

I have the shure e500 which IIRC is the equivalent to the se530s. I would say its worth it :), thats a pretty good price btw. Amazing SQ.
