I'm in need of a SD memory card, at least 128mb, for my digital camera (Konica Milota DiMage G400), and have found a very wide range of prices. I understand that some are faster than others, but I'm not concerned with upload times to my computer. Will a cheap card have any effect on the performance of my camera?

I have a 256MB SD card. SanDisk. I'll sell it to you, make me an offer. Its used lightly, still works great though.

panasonic and the sandisk ultra 2 are the fastest in terms of write/rewrite speeds at 10 mb/s. in terms of generics, there isn't a big difference between speeds

In that case, would I notice a performance difference between a scandisk vs. a generic in my camera?
