I had Firefox 0.92 and the scroll bar is invisible. If I have to scroll down, I have to guess where the scroller is and move it down, or push the arrow key.

I upgraded to Firefox 1.0, hoping that it would solve the problem. Unfortunately, it is still invisible. Anybody know a fix for this?

    I have Mac OS X 10.3, btw

never heard of that problem before. I would just remove the firefox package and the pref file. :dunno:

Do you have any extension installed?
I've personally seen where 1 extension would cause this, so I wouldn't be surprised if others did too.

It's not the prefs you need to worry about it's the profile
    ~/Libary/Application Support/Firefox
Save your bookmark.html and then either rename the folder (or compress it) as backup or just flat out delete it and restart FF and that should fix it.

But uninstall any extensions or extra themes first and restart FF to see if that fixes it.

i remember having this problem before I installed any extensions... I don't know about themes, since I've always had one of two themes installed.

i'll go home and try this later tonight. Thanks guys

if I use the default theme, the scroll bar appears... but if I use any other theme, it doesn't

is there a way to fix this? The default theme is kinda ugly

You have to talk to the creator of the theme about it.

I'm a web designer and I know we can control wether or not we wan't scrollbars there; so it may or may not be a firefox problem. But if you have gone to multiple commercial websites the chances are it should be there or else the designers are just plain stupid! lol

  9. is your window set to full screen or did you stretch it manually, perhaps too much.
I know its probably a stupid suggestion, but try clicking the 'fit to screen' box and see if that makes a difference.

oh yea- another suggestion... try deleting the application and downloading a new one from mozilla. (free)
