Some of you may remember the youtube videos I posted of the beta players we designed...
Well they are done and in full production now and here is our latest install.

These are HD live video players that allow bars and restaurants to use their existing video screens and satelite systems but overlay their own commercials, tickers, weather etc.
All entirely server client driven and all from a single computer.
Here is a shitty phone pic of it installed and running...

    Features...
remote playlist control for commercials (quicktime, swf, flv, mp4, updates every 55 minutes)
rss news for any rss feed (currently running CNN/ESPN) updates every 15 mins.
    live weather feed (as pictured)
HDMI input for HD live video feed. (Expensive as fuck to figure out)

All in all, we are happy with the performance, its 100% stable and reduntant. Wish the hardware costs werent so high, but for now it will work.
Its a hardware fee+ monthly subscription of around $100 and this customer called us 2 weeks after the install to sign up for 5 years.
    :)

any way to make it shift positions every so often? I guess that'd start blocking the feeds and shit though

can shift, but not enough to prevent the burnin. Its a 5 year old plasma, they can replace it with a LCD for a few hundred now.

Nope, it sits inline with their cable/satelite signal.

Cable/Satellite to the computer then output from computer to screen with all combined elements.

Because we are not obstructing any of the screen or replacing any of their content, there "shouldnt" be any issue with cable/sat companies. But, you never know.
I am sure if they found out about the product, they wouldnt be impressed.

This could be used even in homes for custom channels with your own information like sports scores, stock tickers, weather, etc.

    Very awesome tool!
