Scion (Toyota) Paint, SS or not?

    So, quick question, if their an easy way of telling if the paint on my 06 Scion xB is single state or two stage paint? Its Polar White, anyone know?

    White. Check
    Toyota. Check
    Single stage paint. Good possibility

    Just rub some polish on the paint with a dark colored MF, if you get white on the towel, it is single stage.

    99% chance it's two stage (base coat / clear coat) paint. Single stage was mostly fazed out in the late 80s.

    Except by Toyota, who continues to use it on Lexus vehicles.

    What would single stage paint mean? Gotta do something different if it's single stage?

    Well, the Scion boards I go to are saying its two stage.
