I just saw the trailer for it before GITS : SSS...I think I saw a still from Tokko, after Shindou joins TOKKO, so, later in the series -- are they going to show it? fuck, maybe there might be some good anime on TV.

I think it started today, with GITS SSS.

I remember watching Saturday Morning Anime as a kid on SCIFI...I hope they can get close to how awesome that was.

Holy shit, RoD TV and Tokko confirmed so far.

Is it possible there's an anime block on that isn't going to be programmed by morans?

    ann says:

Sci Fi Wire, a news service of the Sci Fi Channel, reports that the network's new Ani-Monday programming block will eventually show the Ninja Scroll movie, Blood: The Last Vampire, the Read or Die video series, Black Jack The Movie, and Street Fighter II V. Sci Fi's online schedule has already revealed the June showings of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society, Noein, Tokko, and Macross Plus. Thanks, Meg Lahey.

It is a good thing imo. back when I was young I got into anime because I caught it on sci-fi when they use to show anime late nights and on weekends.

but why now? i mean you can download everything, watch it when you want not worry about commercials, have a choice on if you want sub or dub.

Sci-Fi needs this anyway. There's a lot of good anime that would fit with the sci-fi genre they could show and besides some of their premier shows they don't have much else worth watching on except reruns of bad/funny 80s scifi series.

because there are people out there that will wait for an offical release, that only want stuff legally or offically, that will not be out there downloading episodes. Also some people really only think anime is like dragonball Z and naruto, this may let them know that there is usually an anime for everyone out there, broaden their horizons and so forth.

thats also like asking why people still watch TV shows and buy Season DVD's even with them widely available on the net.

I have not seein Noein but I have seen TOKKO.

It is cool. It DESPERATELY needs a second season, though. SERIOUS SERIOUS Death Note syndrome.

TOKKO was OK, the end was kind of a letdown though.
