I have a bad lower back. I re-injured it doing sldl's (light weight) over the weekend. Took two days off.

The pain began in my lower back, moved through my right glute and down my hamstring to the back of my knee.

The pain subsided in the back and glute, but the hamstring and behind the knee is still very painful. 800 mgs of IBU doesn't touch it.

I'm still lifting and taking care not to exacerbate the injury. I'm in such a great mindframe and am growing rapidly (13 lbs - 1 month). The thought of taking time off is depressing. Plus i'm 4 weeks on.

Not doing legs is fukkin GAY.

Yeah, it pops big time. I will give you an example for one side, and just do the opposite for the other. Lay on your bed so that your right side is on the right edge of the bed. Pull your left knee up to your chest, then basically lay your left leg way over your body so that it is hanging off of the bed. Do this while keeping your back as straight as you can and laying on the bed. Breathe out and relax as much as possible and that shit will POP.

Do the opposite for the other side. It wont be easy for everyone, my wife for example can only rarely do it where as I can do it daily. U will also crack your back of course, but then you will know when you hit the right spot. That shit echoes through your body. Good stuff.

i found that doing the piriformis stretch + walking barefoot or wearing vibram fivefingers helped.
