Space cadets ... pupils in 'Enterprise' room, watched by uniformed Star Trek enthusiast Ivor Teesdale

[IMG]IT’S a classroom, Jim — but not as we know it. A school has boldly gone and turned its computer room into a copy of the Starship Enterprise. Designers spent hours checking old Star Trek episodes for details to create the £70,000 facility in a former cloakroom.

Specially-moulded wall panels and lighting give a spacecraft effect as pupils at Rowley Hall Primary, Rowley Regis, West Midlands, work on their 31 PCs and other hi-tech gadgets.

The centrepiece is a viewing platform with a scene of deep space. Deputy head Gwen Gibson said: “It really captures the children’s imagination. They half expect Captain Kirk to walk in.”

Eat a dick. Schools still complain whereever they are that they are short on funding.

Have you ever heard a teacher who said they were "overpaid" ?

Or had too many supplies? Or too many computers?

typically schools in Europe have a lot more money than here in the States...although they also have a centralized Health Care system, taxes that are anywhere from 35-50% of their pay etc....
