    they all work the same right? so brand name really doesnt matter?

    brand name might matter in terms of build materials, fit and finish, customer service, accuracy, yada, yada, yada.... i would look into reviews of the manufacturers that you are thinking about. and checkout the revolver section of thehighroad.org there is a lot of info to be found there.

    Taurus makes some very nice revolvers

    cheap as in less expensive than S&W, but very good quality
