Is there a program that you can use that converts scanned textbook pages into editable text? I have to take mass amounts of textbook notes, and I know someone who does this. Thanks.

Well depending on the version you have you can do that with adobe acrobat ... I use a fujitsu scansnap to do just that.

What version would I need? Is there any other programs? I guess I'd better get googling.

However, most of it is quite terrible. It's a very hard technology to get right and even the good stuff makes mistakes sometimes.
