I have about $600 max to spend on a gun for conceal carry.

    I have a XD9SC and a XD 45 5" Compact already.

I would like to stay with those calibers.

I'm thinking about possibly the G26 or G30.

I even considered G27 but figured a +P 9mm was some what close to ballistics of a 40.

Why not carry what you have?

I'd like to stay away from the J Frame.

How is Kahr on longevity compared to a Glock?

I wouldn't mind the G19 at all, but when I carry in the summer I'd like something smaller like the G26 for ease of carry.

  11. G26 is nice. Why do you want to stay away from a JFrame? They make for great carry guns.

  16. Do you have a reason? I'm curious, because when people select carry guns, they usually look for a gun that is lightweight, compact, reliable, and easily concealed. The J frames fit that bill very well. Now, there are certainly other good choices for carry, and there are plenty of people who don't carry them, but to dismiss them because you "don't like them" doesn't really make sense. Is there something about them that you find unsuitable?

Maybe someone who already has 2 perfectly suitable carry guns, yet just wants something "different" really isn't so much concerned with picking the best gun for carry and is merely interested in getting another gun while trying to justifying it by saying it's for carry. In that case, get whatever you like.

I just don't like the way they look and they way they feel in my hand. I'm interested in only magazine style guns.

I'm just looking for ideas on a gun that can be carried easily in summer time that is a good choice. That has been proven (longevity, accurate, little to no problems or issues.)

I'd say G26 for you then.

The G30 is nice, but with the 10rd mag it's about the same size as the G19.

Some of the Kahrs are bitchy about ammo, have a long break in period, and are over priced.

Thank you, this is what I'm looking for.

I know nothing good or bad about Kahrs. I just know they are slim.
