A little spontaneous purchase, I've been thinking of picking up a GSG since the beginning of the year when I first head about them, but didn't really think I would buy one.

I haven't had so much fun since I got my first bb gun as a kid. The thing is a fuckin blast to shoot.

First range trip was after my USPSA match this weekend and we kept one of the stages up with steel. We were also testing to see if a .22 can knock down a full size steel popper, worked out well.

Me, and about half a dozen guys from the match shot about 400+ rounds. I had 2-3 bonefide FTE's. Which is understandable because I had a little line of guys waiting to shoot it, shooting it rapid fire. It drew a little crowd of people interested in checking it out.

I also had another handful of light strikes. I read up and found the light strikes were a known issue and they had a mod to fix it. I ended up finding all sorts of shit for it, so now I'm on a research spree getting a list together to get it set up for our .22 action pistol & rifle match next month.

If you can find them in stock locally they run anywhere from $449-$499. I swear I found them all over the place when I wasn't looking for one. Then one night I got the wild hair after reading up on it, went out to my spots and couldn't find one in stock anywhere.

I found a local guy that got buyers remorse and had one for a short period and swooped it up. Came with 3 mags and a mount for 550. Which is dam near new price but I wanted one and I'm impatient.

they say 22, but it's actually 24. I was able to get 24 in all my mags fairly easily.

I love my gsg5. Bought the pistol version as well, haven't even taken it out of the box, since I haven't had time to go to the range since I got it :(

SBR that bitch. GemTech has a new dedicated GSG silencer that can be affixed so you only have to pay one tax stamp. :naughty:

Yup, fake surpressor to get it up to the legal rifle length. it's actually really nicely built and fitted.

Only thing I don't like is the stock but I'm swapping it out for an all metal slider.

I may get another suppressor, but it'll be a spectre most likely, since i want to be able to swap it around. Probably wind up only using it on the pistol, not the rifle...eventually. Gotta find money for it first

The pistol was bought while I was on vacation. dealer called me up, said he had one, did I want it before he put it out on display (stupid question :squint:), and he'd put it in the safe to hold for me until I got back in town.

So of course I took it just to screw over some of the other people that hadn't been able to get one yet :p
