so there is these 3 douchebag martial arts dorks that I see all the time in the gym. One of them is pretty cool and I say whats up to him whenever I see him. He's friends with an asian guy that tries to crip walk and ddr in between sets :hsugh:

Well anyway I hear the loudest crash (over my mp3 player at full volume) and turn around and two guys were lifting the sled off of him. He probably had 8-9 plates on each side :hsugh: After that he got up and gave handshakes to the guys who lifted the sled off of him

Somehow I doubt the guy should have been doing 8 or 9 plates.

I wonder why some leg presses don't have a safety mechanism built in to keep the sled from killing people.

I attempted 6 plates once. I got it down to the stop and tried to push it back but failed. But it has a stop so I got up and removed some plates.

call me a pussy, but whenever i load it up enough to give me a decent amount of resistance, i'm always nervous to go underneath it. not because its a lot of weight, but because i'm afraid the holding mechanism would break and crush my knees.

    =(

there usually is an option to insert a safety pin, but if you don't put it in, you're screwed if it slams down

They pretend there is a pad with arrows. At my school they have a DDR game, and theres like 10 people playing to that one machine. Looks like a fucking aerobics class at the gym.

    true ddr > pretend ddr

my friend actually lost a good amount of weight using DDR. imagine a 240lb 5'10'' lineman trying to do DDR for an hour or more a day.

helped his footwork out like crazy.

The one I use at my gym has another stop after you lower it too far. It goes pretty low but not low enough to crush you.

reminds me of what happened to this dumbfuck doing squat on a smith machine.

He loads up like 4 45 pound plates on each side. He doesn't set the braces down or anytihing. He takes the hooks off the bars and i hear a thump and a terrible scream, somehow the guy managed to fall underneath it and it crushed his lower ribs. It was a pretty nasty sight.
