I am looking for a rifle to go target shooting in my spare time. I am considering the Savage Mark II FV .22LR and I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback or reviews that would help me. This would also be my first rifle.

I've got no experience with that particular rifle, got one in a larger caliber and its been great, but if your just looking for a .22 rifle you might be better off considering the ruger 10/22 tons of cheap aftermarket stuff for out there for it.

Are the Rugers .22 generally in the same price range as the Savage .22? The Savage .22 is around $234.

well, if you have your heart set on a Savage, consider the 93s. I am in love with mine, and I only have had a chance to put 45 rounds through it so far (and alot of those were just sighting it in).

You could find it under that if you looked. Although that total cost wouldn't last long because you'd want to mod it. :bigthumb:
