I'm startin to get really anxious. I've only been hunting once before with my bow and I didn't even get an arrow off. Hopefully I'll be letting the air out of a deer come sunrise on Sat. I'm sure all the other hunters understand. If you don't hunt, don't hate.

Last year's firearm season was my first time deer hunting. This year is my first time bow hunting and my first time I've shot a compound bow. Bow season has been open for a few weeks up here in Missouri. First day out with my buddy, we see a doe, a button buck and a small 6 pointer. They were in range for a good 10-15 mins. Then when we left our tree stand, we ended up seeing 4-5 more bucks and 4 or so does. Last Saturday we saw a 10 or 12 pointer but didn't have a good shot at it. Afterwards we had an encounter with 4 does. Next day he sees 2 what he thinks were bobcats or mountain lions and 4 more deer. I didn't see shit. Hopefully we'll run into that 10 or 12 pointer again :x:

I've been bow hunting for 5 or 6 years now....This year, however, I'm more mad at the birds than deer and hogs. I may go once later in the season, but for now I'm happy blasting at dove:big grin:
