i just happened to look at the nutritional facts of the skippy peanut butter i was shocked to see that for every 32g of pb, there was 3.5g of saturated fat.

i heard that the fats in pb are good for you, but after seeing this, im confused. Is there something im missing? i thought saturated fats were bad for you..

it's bad in excess. Your body needs some saturated fat though.

I get the organic kind. It's sold at most health food stores. It has little fat

I never thought about that...seems like a good idea.

While we're on the subject of peanut butter. I bought some natural peanut butter and I was wondering: how do I know when to stop mixing it (the seperated oil), or is it prefference?

Just keep mixing till it looks like the two layers (oil/pb) have become one.

I have found it easiest to put in in the microwave for a few seconds then stir for a while. It will be nice and soft this way.

Also make sure you put it in the fridge after opening it.

You need some sat fats in your diet to increase test levels but obviously you shouldn't overconsume them. PB daily is never a bad idea..
