saturated fat bad for keto diets and choelsterol

    there you go keto hamburger mongers! negative results. This is why i take fat free / low fat items and make them macro equal to the full fat version by substituing with healthy fats from nuts, avacado etc.

    For instance: cottage cheese has 4g fat perr 100g, mainly saturated, i replace with 4g worth of almonds or pecans

    total cholesterol and LDL are pretty useless numbers

    Saturated fat affects large LDL but doesn't really affect small LDL. Because it increases particle size your calculated LDL can go UP even if your LDL particle number has decreased. Same reason why one person with an LDL of 150 (mostly large particles) could be low risk while another person with an LDL of 100 (mostly small particles) could be high risk.

    Other than lower is better, are there guidelines for ranges that are acceptable for small ldl?
