SATA troubles

    so i just bought a SATA drive and when i opnened my computer i realized that my power supply doesnt have a SATA connector. will i have to buy a new power supply or is there some other solution to my problem? my motherboard has a sata connector, but my sata power connector is MIA.

    There are converters that will convert a standard 4pin molex connector to a SATA power connector... shouldn't cost more than $5

    aahh... some good news.. thanks. no disadvantages to using the converter is there?

    Nope, they work just fine. In fact, many power supplies were coming with these converters until they started putting the plugs on the power supplies themselves.
