Any decent gyms in San Jose close to the McEnery Convention Center?

I'll be there in 2 weeks for a conference and I'm mainly just looking for free weights, a power cage, and a reasonable daily pass fee.

Yeah, I've been down that road before. There have been decent gyms in Vegas hotels at around $15/day. Most gyms in hotels you are lucky to find a cheezy "all in one" station contraption.

Honestly, I've never seen a gym in a hotel with free weights outside of Vegas. There was one in Dayton that had DBs but they only went up to 55lbs.

I think most 24/hour fitness gyms cost $15 for a day pass. I know they're not considered great gyms but they probably have more than your hotel does and I know the weights go up a bit higher than 55 for the DBs.

Hit up google or yellowpages.com I suppose.

I'm going to be in San Jose in 2 weeks as well. Usually work out at one of the Gold's gyms.

which golds gym does OT lift at for the yay people? I goto primetime a family gym over break, but this summer when I'm not in school I'd like somewhere with a little more test in the air.

What time do you typically lift?

I'll probably be looking to go after 6PM Mon, Tues and/or Wed.

I got mixed up on my dates - 14th to 17th is when I'll be there (Embedded Systems Conference).

Sometimes I go at like 3:30-4ish if I can't make it then I go at like 9pm with my GF and her brother. The one on Monterey is probably the closest but it's gotten really ghetto lately. The one in Campbell is the next closest but a little smaller.

TWolf, I'm going to be looking out for you (no homo)

I will be at the Fairmont Inn and it looks like the one on Monterey you mentioned is closest.

I see Gold's has a free 1day pass (I'm sure I'll have to deal with the BS sales pitch).
