One more.. Anyone use this phone?

I really need a PDA phone.. Sick of carrying a cell phone and a PPC in my pocket.. plus I want the web and email on my phone (easier then my nextel)

I played with one of these at the Verizon store. Really liked it...

Ace3 and someone else on OT have one - i've played with one and really like it as well. Go for it - its probably the most advanced phone out right now.

i'm on the phone for maybe 1.5-2 hours a day, download my email (data) for ~15 min on the way to the office, and i've never had a problem with battery life on the small battery.

when i was in chicago, they have EVDO, and that seemed to suck the battery dry faster when using data versus just regular 1x here in omaha.

    it's a great phone.

i HIGHLY recommend getting a copy of PocketMax ... www.pocketmax.net ... it really adds some functionality to the phone.

i just bought this phone yesterday i upgraded from the sph i700 the bigger version of this...

i like this one LOADS BETTER!!

i got it over the treo 650 because of the evdo capability as well as the wifi capability.

Also after hearing that the treo was going to be ppc in january with the new 700 i figured palm has a good chance of going obsolete now that microsoft is trying to dominate the market.

This works a hell of a lot better than my sph i700 alot more functionality as a phone...

    fast downloads over EVDO

    the wifi sucks battery life....

but have a car charger plus i kept an extra charger from my old phone at the office so anytime i need a quick charge i can have it....

i also the sound is great...the speakers are much better than the old one......display is nicer

alot more compact and i like the the holster included.....

i have yet to use my extended battery.....

    but i'd recommend this phone!

BUT get the insurance on it...i'm just anal but i don't wanna drop it and be out a few hundred bucks!

so for a phone like this insurance is well worth it in my opinion...

I was told by Verizon to hold off for the i730 with camera for only 2 or 3 months :dunno:

I'm waiting on the WM powered treo just to see how battery life compares to the i730

i don't need a camera on my cell phone

i seriously think its one of the stupidest things....

i have a nice 5.1 mp digital camera.

    i'm happy with my i730

battery life is good with the extended battery as long as i charge it everynight and also during the day its usually on the activesync cradle at work so it gets a quick charge thru the day too....

i have two chargers (the old ones from my i700 worked) plus i have a car charger.

so i figure i have all my bases covered! :)

i like the bigger screen on this compared to the treo and the enhancements from my old phone to this one make it more useable as a phone PLUS its faster!

Well I'll be comparing this thing vs the Treo 700 when they are both available, not sure which will come out on top, but I do like the look of the i730 better :coold:

The only concern I have is battery life but if others have no problem with the i730 then ... :)

    Does i730 have built-in wireless?

I can't believe that the Treo 700 will require an add-on card.. that's shady.

yes the i730 has built in WiFi but I guess it just tears up the battery life

also it cannot recieve calls while using the WiFi :dunno:

    EVDO > WiFi

not sure what the acronym stands for (u can probably google it) but its what verizon's new highspeed wireless network is referred to

not sure if other carriers use it or if its just for verizon....
