I havent been able to find much on it and was just curious if anyone has some first hand experiance with the phone. My choices are now down to that and the black razr.

razr has bluetooth. p207 has text to speech that is 90-95% accurate. Go play with both :dunno:

I have a razr, its ok.

i just toyed with both today and initially I like the looks of the samsung but it fely kind of flimsy, not sure how much I actually liked it. I liked the razrs form more, the only thing that worrys me is if I drop it. I have had my current phone for about 2 years and have only dropped it 4-5 times in that span(on hard floors, carpet doesnt count) and I am worried that it would only take one time to drop and break the razr...

Get the Razr. No amount of functionality can compensate for sheer coolness.

This man speaks the truth. Mines hit numerous hard objects many many times, rides around in the trunk of my r6 and works just fine.

Honestly, stay away from moto right now, unless you do get the black V3. Be advised though, if you get one and do an insurance claim (v3 can now be insured by lockline unlike before), you're going to most likely get a silver one in return.

I would wait for the Samsung SCH-V740

According to the web site Telecoms Korea, Samsung Electronics plans to launch its slim SCH-V740 handset to the US and European markets. The release is set for October 2005. I’d remind you that the company positions the SCH-V740 as the rival to the popular Motorola RAZR. As a matter of fact, it loses to Motorola phone just half a millimeter of depth. Last month Motorola released the version of the RAZR for the Korean market. Evidently, Samsung Electronics decided, it’s high time to strike back.

    The specs of the SCH-V740:

    External screen – 1.07” TFT, 96x96 pixels, 65K colors
    Internal screen – 2.2” TFT, 320x240 pixels, 262K colors
    13-megapixel camera
    Memory - 123 MB
    Bluetooth
    GPS
    MP3-player
    Dimensions – 98x51x14.5 mm
    Weight - 98 g
