i was going to pick one up, but found out you can't assign your personal mp3's as ringtones. you have to purchase the ones from tmobile to use. f that.

Yeah the T809 will only played mp3s with DRM. A lot of people on hofo are also complaining about dust getting into the screen. one of my friends who works at T-Mobil says out of 10 units, 6 of them were returned.

    just got mine...

i guess you cant assign mp3's as ringtones...oh well...i dont really care about that.

The phone is great aside from that...coming from the nextel world(860) its a huge jump. love the phone...love the service...camera is great...all kinds of functions..

    i have no complaints.

but for 49.99 from amazon.com...it was worth it

actually you can use mp3 for ringtones. change the phone into a storage device, then change the extension of the files you want as ringer on your computer to 3gp files. then use either a USB cable or bluetooth to load them onto your phone.

and then you done mp3s as ringers

the dust problem is a freaking bitch. I already exchanged it once and the new phone still has the dust problem. the slider works a little better though.

    :ugh:

    the phone has normal ringtones.
and the dust problem... just get those aerosal cans u clean ur computer with and spray in the crevices.. it'll blow the dust from under the screen. its so simple i can't believe people are returning the phone because of this problem.
