I know I posted this in the other one, but once you guys post, you never go back and look at changes. So here's a new thread.

I think this one kicks the crap out of the old one. But it takes more than one set of eyes...

Her head looks superimposed. Are you doing something like combining shots? Looks like some cloning on her right hand too.

    I like the shot tho.

I liked the previous edit better. Where the guy was in the background. The lighting on the top left is a little weird for some reason.

I think I fucked up the film grain application layer. It's WAY too dark and contrasty here.

Gimme a sec to fix this crap.

I don't like her expression at all, and I don't like the lighting hitting the left side of her face (left side if you are looking at the picture). There's some odd shadows there.

Otherwise you've got a really awesome shot. At first I was like wow thats awesome, then i looked closer at her face and didn't like it as much.

converting to black and white via an adjustment layer, and using NIK Color Efex pro 'film effects' to add the film grain.

    It's pretty simple, actually.

This may sound weird. But I wish the whole photo looked like how her right arm looks. I'm really drawn to how everything looks right there. :)

Her expression kills it. She looks like she's been standing there holding her mouth open for hours or something. Was she posing, or actually singing? I'm guessing it's a pose.

What made her want to be a part of this?

should be, if not, use the cd key from the PC one, and DL the free trial from the NIK website.

silver efex does the b&w conversion, but the film grain isn't nearly as nice as color efex.

Here's a 3rd and final edit. I have a really nice portrait i'll process tomorrow, but I really wanted the action shot to work. Starting to get it through my thick skull that it might not be all I want...

    - toned down the spotlight, cleaned up the shadows, etc....

am I wasting my time here?

I'm no expert, but your final edit seems pretty cool.
