Simple question... or maybe not. Let's say I have have Samba running as a primary domain controller. And then for whatever reason, a series of Windows 2003 boxes acting as file servers, authenticating against the Samba PDC. Do I have to buy CALs for each user connecting to the Windows box, even if there is not a local user account on the server? From reading Microsoft's Windows 2003 FAQ, I would say yes.. but I've heard different answers from different people. Any thoughts?
