Okay guys. I did a search for salt in the forum and couldn't find a recommendation for cleaning salt stains off my floor mats, and the rim around them on the floor carpet.

What do you guys use? I washed the car tonight and took woolite to the interior (damn I love that stuff). But it doesn't seem to do much on that big ring of salt stain.

Tomorrow is DACP, SpeedGlaze, Vanilla Moose and EX with Carnuba. Later in the week will be some #16.

  2. Sometimes a good stiff brush used while the carpet is dry will loosen the salt up and it pretty much just vacuums out.

Try a hot water extractor -- sometimes referred to inaccurately as a steam cleaner. They rent them at grocery stores for $20/day here. Rug Doctor brand.

:dunno: it isn't something I have to deal with down here. I agree with sierralement that an extractor would be your best bet.
