Got my Saiga 12 today, with the normal mags plus 2 (10?) round mags. They don't snap in fully. Is this normal? Sure doesn't seem normal. Wtf :ugh2:

EDIT: quick search online says that you have to file part of the mags down to make them fit? wtf

k, so what are GOOD mags for this thing then?

Saiga 12s are known to have loose tolerances from gun to gun. COmpanies like MD Arms makes their mags tight for a reason, so that they can be gently tweaked and yet made to run with all guns.

The Saiga12 forums have info on how to tweak the mags so that they run better.

Its better to take off some material rather than trying to put some back.

I wont be using it for clays. Have my 870 for that. this is going to be converted completely. pistol grip, moving the trigger guard, new stock (either folding or fixed) and possibly going SBS with it. Not sure on that part, have to do some research. Not paying Tromix another $500 for the shit I can do myself.

lets watch for this next month and see how the weather holds. we'll want a decent day. I have a few things I want to get out there and shoot. maybe get the CMMG in the SBR and put through a bunch of rounds.

I should get this SBS in the works though. Just want to figure out the shortest barrel length I can go without fucking with shortening the gas system

My AGPs run great in my Saigas, but I'm curious about how well the newer SureFires work. Anyone tried them yet?
