hear me out... this is why safari still bothers me:

    * doesn't cache any downloads (in case you accidentally delete them)

    * gives up on downloads ridiculously easy... I'm on 56k for the summer, and if I'm checking a couple pages while downloading a file, it'll just give up and stop downloading, and declare the file complete, even if it's not

    * doesn't display an "image waiting to be loaded" icon, very annoying when you're trying to gauge how many pics are waiting to be loaded

    * seems slow to load already-downloaded images from the cache, nor does it cache partially-downloaded pictures and resume downloading when you re-request that image

All of the above, even Internet Explorer could handle well. In fact, IE is, in my opinion, the best model for web caching I've seen out of all the browsers I've used :hs:

Anyway discuss... a lot of these problems come to light when you are on a slow connection but I still think they should be addressed.

There are only like three things that annoy me.

1.) There is no "new tab" button. I have to right click on the tab bar and make a new tab from there.
2.) Can't open a page in a new tab from the bookmarks drop down menu. I have to first open a new tab and then goto my bookmarks and open the link. This is kinda annoying.
3.) Safari is SLOW. Some pages, like gamespy seem to render for like 30 seconds before anything appears. On other pages (like OT), having a lot of moving gif files slows safari down to a crawl.

Other than that, its not bad. Way better than IE in windows. Can't touch Firefox though.

no prob...but i sure wish you could do more with the tabs...i.e. drag to re-order them, drag a window into the tab bar or out of the tab bar to create a new window containing it, etc...
