SRS sad and bored

    What the hell is wrong with me? I don't have to work. I do good in school and I'm going out with a great girl but i'm still sad. I feel like i have to get fucked up drunk or pilled out to be happy. When I'm with her i'm happy but when i'm not i'm sad. how do i find out why i'm sad?

    Yeah, winter used to depress the fuck out of me before I went on Zoloft. Now, I'm not saying you should run to meds, but grey, crummy winters only made my depression worsen.

    I get cranky and sad in colder months. I only feel more cheerful when Spring is around the corner. (or if I start baking myself in the tanning booth). :dunno:

    I get seasonally depressed too. I even have full spectrum lighting in my house which simulates the sunlight and that's supposed to help. It doesn't though. 20mg of Prozac once a week ftw.

    i'm on 10mg once a day. i'm not sure what to do. the only thing i can think is that i dont like where i live but i like my school and crazy about my girl friend so i dont know why i'm so upset

    What don't you like about where you live? Do you notice a cycle change where you feel this way during the winter/fall months? If the depression is biological, increasing the Prozac may be of value. Talk with your physician about that if you like.

    If this isn't the issue then maybe something else is going on. I have SAD myself and have to use light therapy, which does help in my case.

    maybe without her, you feel lonely.

    Go exercise, find some hobbies to occupy your time. It helps me. You need to find a goal, a purpose, to keep your mind on.
