I've driven em. Great car. Honestly, I like the auto better. The last manual trans volvo I liked was the 850.

I'm REALLY wanting to pick up a V50 T5 AWD!!!

    bmw 335i sedan > s60r

or if you need awd then 335xi sedan

only thing that makes the s60r attractive is the big discounts they are offering.

    I'd take a volvo over any 3-series, tho. M5 and we'll talk.

they are nice, but they are just kinda there. Old volvos had character. The S60R is a nice piece of ass, but I wouldnt bite unless I was buying it under warranty.

I know a lot of former Volkswagen owners who are buying Volvos now. I guess they want that Euro build quality without the kiddish image that Volkswagen projects.

850 manuals only came in n/a and not turbos. if you like driving slow 5 cylinder then it's for you. Europe is the only place i'm aware of that got the 850 n/a and 850 turbos (including the Rs) with stickshift.

I'd personally get an S60r as the price of a used one is prettty cheap. 6spd manual, 300hp, awd! can be had for ~$22k used
