S2000 with Hyabusa V8

    The cost would be too outrageous. The S2000 is not nearly nice enough of a platform for such a swap. Those engine/gearbox combos are almost as much as a brand new S2000.

    I think that engine is 30k... i know because i was looking at that for a 280z version

  6. Motorcycle engines like those are not designed for longevity. Also, motorcycle engines like those are not designed to be driven mainly at part throttle.

    I've seen that guys website, I think, he made that on car from the ground up with carbon fiber, right? Lots of vids of him running out at PIR? I remember seeing the V8 he was putting in the Atom, didn't know it was this engine. That guy has way too much money and time.

    yup, thats the guy. iirc, he lives in eugene. he's also building (or has built) his own "exotic supercar". its pretty much a tube frame with lateral coilovers, a crazy v12 something or other, and a full fiberglass body with working headlights and whatnot to make it street legal. definately too much time and money.
