If that is what you WANT your gun to look like before you add a good optic then go for it. If you don't want the MOE stuff then there is no point in buying that gun, buy a cheaper rifle or build it yourself.

I opted for the M&P15T. Troy sights and all around rails were more appealing to me. Not a fan of that A2 front sight post or those rails. It's your cookie cutter MOE stuff. I rather put a Magpul UBR stock, which is my next purchase.

i was origianlly planning on getting a 600 dollar bargain bin AR and then going the magpul accessories route but i can buy this new and complete for practically the same money. I think im going to pick it up this weekend and work on a good optic for it in the near future.

Can get the magpul accessory set from Brownells (with discount) for less than $100.

MBUS rear for less than $50 (after discount)

    $600 + $100 + $50 = $750 and well on your way to a nice optic

I just built almost the exact same rifle $770. Only difference is, mine isn't made by S&W.

When you learn the difference between a rifle and a pistol, you'll figure it out (would hope).
