I was browsing Wikipedia today and found an article on a sequel they're making for Donnie Darko. Apparently it's going to focus around his little sister Samantha.

Looks like Richard Kelly isn't directing this one. That could be both good and bad. I just hope it doesn't suck because Donnie Darko was a great film.

    Thoughts?

I thought Donnie Darko was overrated. It was ok at best, but not as great as everyone seems to make it out to be.

I thought it was a very unique, insightful movie. I saw it back when it first came out in 2001, so I must have missed the hype. Hell, when I saw it, nobody even knew about it, and I don't think it did very well at the BO.

Took me forever to figure out what the movie was talking about...was really good when I didn't know what the hell i watched and even better when i figured it out.

I mean the original of course.

And on that note, the sequel sounds retarded.
